If you’re looking for low-carb, low-carb, keto meal options, or you’re simply fascinated by cheese and like to explore its flavors and preparation methods, we offer this option to make sautéed vegetable rolls and replace the traditional casing of wheat flour, therefore of spun cheese.
These rolls are made with string cheese, produced in San Felix, Antioquia, by a family with a dairy tradition. Just over a year ago they decided to start transforming the milk from their cows (always sold to dairies) to give added value to their main product and to be able to talk about their good production and well-being practices. animal. Their company is called Toledales and today you can find some of their products in our shop.
With these piadinas available on pomario.co and other vegetables, we have told it NatyGómez to create a recipe for them. Here it is:
Cheese wrap with vegetables and sautéed hearts
Ingredients:
- Toledales cheese wraps
- asparagus
- Mushrooms
- Micro onions
- carrots
- Olive oil
- Buds to accompany
- Salt and pepper to taste
You can find asparagus, mushrooms, onions, carrots, hearts and, of course, wraps at www.pomario.co
Instructions:
- Cut the vegetables into small pieces, remember that we are going to make the filling for the pastry.
- Fry the vegetables in a little olive oil, starting with the onion. When you see that the onion becomes translucent you can add the carrot, asparagus and mushrooms.
- Leave them on medium heat for about 5 minutes, adding salt and pepper. Reserve them to assemble the casing.
- Take a non-stick pan, place it on a high heat and place one of the cheese wraps (the pack is 6). Let it sit for about 5 minutes, until you feel you can turn it and it turns golden. Turn it over and wait for the other side to turn golden.
- Remove the foil from the pan (it should already be crunchy), transfer it to a plate and serve the vegetables in one of its halves. Fold what remains of the foil over the vegetables.
- Serve with a heart cut in half, seasoned with a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper to taste.
If you want to try something new, you can even skip the buds. Simply cut them in half and brown them for less than a minute in a hot pan with olive oil or butter.
It’s a quick, simple and healthy recipe, like the ones we know you like. Dare to try it and make changes that fit your style.
