RECIPE INGREDIENTS
- 240 ml of water (or milk)
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 10 g of organic dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 70 ml of oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Wheat flour (until ready) about 500 g (or 4 cups)
PREPARATION METHOD
- In a bowl, mix the water (or milk) with the sugar and yeast, letting it rest for about 10 minutes.
- After activating the yeast, I add the egg, oil and salt to the mixture.
- I start adding the wheat flour little by little, mixing with a spoon until I get a consistent dough.
- When I can no longer mix with the spoon, I put my hands in the dough and continue adding flour until it becomes firm.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 20 minutes.
- I put the dough in a lightly floured bowl, cover with a cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.
- After growth, knead again to remove excess air.
- Divide the dough into portions of approximately 80 g each and shape into balls.
- I put the balls in a pan greased with margarine and sprinkled with flour.
- I let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Before baking I brush the bread with water and sprinkle the sugar.
- Place in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 25/30 minutes.
