This is a homemade tea recipe that does not require tea sachets, is without caffeine and uses ingredients that you could already have in the pantry and in the spice cabinet! It has the flavor of a mixture of fantasy tea designer with a thin sweetness, but it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg either.
While this recipe may not adapt to the rigorous definition of “tea” as it does not require tea leaves, it produces a tasty drink! If you are all out of tea sachets or you are looking for a tea option without caffeine as well as chamomile or peppermint, try this recipe.
An experiment in the kitchen has transformed a relaxing activity!
Since I can’t have a normal coffee tea on Mezzogiorno (without influencing sleep), I have experienced to do my mixes.
I started with dried flowers such as pink, jasmine and hibiscus. They can be quite strong and flavors are quite distinctive. Then I went on to experiment with the phases of the pantry like cinnamon, cloves and dried orange peel, as well as dried and fresh fruit that I had at hand: Apple, lemons, dates and berries of dried Goji.

In the end, my tea recipe evolved into what I am sharing today. This pot of homemade tea is what I consider a small “me” treatment that I like to do every time I can.
Sometimes, self -care may seem only another thing in the list of things to do. But grabbing some ingredients that I already have and in leather in a pot with a little boiling water is easy. And what you get for those few minutes spent is a tasty tea that you can enjoy at any time of the day.
Naturally sweet, with surprisingly complex flavor
Trust me, you will find this “mix” of very pleasant tea and hopefully it falls in love just like me. I was so surprised by its complex flavor.
Lemon really brings together everything and really improves the aroma of all the ingredients. The taste of this tea is so pleasant and better yet, it is naturally softened with goji berries, dried Chinese red dates (also known as Jujubes) and apple slices. No sugar or honey needed.
Many of the ingredients in this tea have a heating effect on the body according to traditional Chinese medicine, making it ideal to enjoy during the bitter cold of winter. He will warm you well.
I like to have fun in my little one Tea Pot di Glasswith a warm candle. Although you certainly don’t need this set-up (you may also simply prepare tea in a normal pot and pour it through a filter), this tea pot can last all day if I continue to add hot water. The ingredients have strong flavors that can make several lots, even if the taste becomes lighter.

It is a real fun during a silent afternoon with a good book or when it shares it with your favorite people.
