What are chicharrones guava?
For those who are not familiar, Guayaba Chicharrones I am a traditional and popular sweet pastry shop.
They are ripped layers and buttose of puff pastry with a soft, sweet and delicious guava in the shape of a guava in the form of a crackling.

Ingredients you need
The printable recipe card with exact quantities and cooking indications is below.
Pascretic of the breath: I use the puff pastry purchased in the store to create this recipe, but feel free to create one of it if you prefer.
Guava pasta: You can find Guava pasta also known as Bocadillo at your local supermarket in the Latin section.
Egg: Brush the desserts to give a beautiful golden color.
Sugar: I like the extra sugar crunch on these desserts.

This is a very simple dessert with simple ingredients and easy to do at home, but you can also find them Bakeries (Bakeries), pastry chefs, school cafés and coffee in Colombia. The name Chicharrones It comes from the shape of the pastries because they look like our popular savory and fried pork belly called crackling.

How to do guayaba chicharrones
- Sprinkle a work surface with flour. Turn off 1 of the puffed puffed sheets on top of the flour.
- Sprinkle some flour on the pasta. Using a rolling pin and start from the center of the pastry shop, roll on the opposite side. Then roll from the center towards you. After each few rolls, give the pasta a quarter to turn and sprinkle the upper and lower part of the pasta with more flour so that the pasta does not stick. Continue to roll and spray until the pastry shop is a large rectangle. Cut the dough into 6 equal pieces.
- Put slices of guava pasta on each piece of puff pastry. Brush the beaten egg 2 edges of each piece with a pastry brush. Fold one half of each piece above the filling, enclosing it completely. Press the edges together with the fingers to seal them. With a knife it makes small cuts along the edges to make the chicharrón legs.
- Put the chicharrones on a prepared pan, threw them 2 -inch away. Repeat with the remaining puff pastry sheet and the guava paste.
- Using a pastry brush, wash the peaks of the chicharrones with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar. Put the pan in the oven and cook for about 20 minutes or until they are swollen and golden.
- Remove the pan from the oven and put on a cooling grid to cool for about 5 minutes

Kitchen notes
I used the puff pastry purchased in the shop to do mine Sweet Chicharrones. I always have a box or two of this dough in my freezer. It is a simple question of eliminating a sheet, letting it defrost and make pastries or cakes For a quick craving.
Make sure to check your desserts, because each oven is different and you don’t want to burn them.
It is possible to keep the desserts cooked in a sealed container up to 3 days or place raw in the freezer up to 1 month and cook them when they are ready to serve.

Like a good Colombian girl, I had fun Guayaba Chicharrones For a long time. They are the perfect dessert or an afternoon snack with a cup of black coffee or a glass of milk. They are perfect for thanks! They are like a cake, but easier and super cute because everything in small shape is always very nice 🙂
