Goan Mushroom Xacuti Recipe

Goan Mushroom Xacuti is an authentic traditional Goan dish that has the best flavor if cooked using wild or forest mushrooms, which are available during the rainy season. On the other hand, Xacuti is a Goan Masala with a certain mixture of spices that is extremely popular throughout India and is used to prepare sauce -based recipes.

You can also cook this recipe with simple mushrooms, but for the real taste you should always choose those of the forest. Wild mushrooms are a little more rubbery in taste and takes more time to cook, than the cultivated button mushrooms that we get in the shops.

Serve Goan Xacuti’s mushrooms together with buttered words or even a matar changing for lunch or dinner.
