Spinach & Feta Börek

Börek or burek are typical desserts from the Balkans, the Middle East and Central Asia. Shortcrust pastry is made of thin, flaky pastry with a variety of fillings, such as cheese, spinach or potatoes. We made our vegan version with tofu and spinach, but we also added some vegan feta cheese for extra flavor and creaminess. It is flaky, crunchy, soft and buttery inside. A delicious lunch or even a snack in between.
