Pastitsio is one of those definitive meals of indulgence, such as lasagna, mac and cheese. Hot, in bad taste and so damn good.

In the event that I did not understand it, they are a bit of a carbohydrate monster. I want my meat and potatoes and I don’t want to count calories or chew the celery all day to repent. Hard play and I will eat like a fat child.

But what is Pastitsio?

Pastitsio is one of those definitive meals of indulgence that need their food group, such as lasagna and all forms of Mac and cheese. Whenever the dinner is composed 97% of pasta and 3% of things have spread everywhere, probably have a little political officer who spends a little empty dollars of dollars who build a campaign saying that they slap large gurs. (I know decidedly upset, Mister Oliver, and really, is a little fantastic, so don’t eat it every day, Mkay?). You could add a nice spinach salad on the side, you know, round off things. But let’s face it, nothing is canceling him …

This is a kind of meal all afternoon with homemade meat and creamy sauce. Also fault, pure indulgence and 100% rocking because you flexed those culinary skills and you did everything from scratch.

Prevent the screen from going to sleep

Start with the meat sauce:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Fry the onion for 5 minutes, until it is soft.

  • Add the minced meat and lamb and cook for 8-10 minutes, breaking with a spoon.

  • Empty any fat if necessary.

  • Add the wine and cook for 2 minutes.

  • Add the garlic, the cinnamon, the oregano, the thyme and the pepper of Cayenna. Mix to combine and cook for 5 minutes more.

  • Add the tomatoes and season with 2 tea salt and 1 pepper tea, if desired. Cook over low heat for 40-45 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the Béchamel sauce.

  • Heat the milk and cream in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until they start cooking over low heat, there will be bubbles around the edges and steam that descend from the top.

  • In another larger saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the flour, mix and cook for 2 minutes. Beat away.

  • Slowly pour the heated milk and whip vigorously. Cook for 5-7 minutes more, stirring often, until you thick.

  • Add the nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper if you wish. Add 3/4 cup of grated Parmesan and 1/2 cup of tomato meat sauce.

  • Leave to cool for 10 minutes. Finally, mix the eggs and yogurt.

Meals

  • Preheated the oven at 350 degrees F. Greasso a 9 x 13 “pan.

  • Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water until alone al dente. You will continue to cook it, so don’t cook it. Drain.

  • Lank the dough with the meat sauce to add. Pour into the prepared pan and distribute evenly.

  • Pour the Bachamel sauce over the top and shake the pan to spread evenly. Top with the remaining 3/4 cup of Parmesan.

  • Cook, discovered, for 1 hour, until golden brown and sparkling. Leave to cool 10 minutes before serving.
