Garlic oil is simple but tasty condiment Made by instilling the oil with the garlic. Browth garlic or fried garlic is new to me. I came across a recipe for noodles that uses it as the main ingredient. I loved it so much, that I want to try it as soon as possible. And I finally did it too. As a first step for that Noodles recipe, I made this fantastic fried garlic. It is so simple to make frankly, it needs garlic and oil only.

Infusi oils act as flavored agent used to improve cooking without spices or herbs. The garlic oil is made by the fry of the garlic gently chopped in low heat oil, helping you to obtain golden and crunchy garlic pieces and an infused oil of flavors. Once prepared, both fried garlic and the oil can be kept in the refrigerator until a few months. This garlic oil is used to improve the flavor in many varieties of recipes such as fried, soupsalads, bread and noodles.

The garlic oil is so versatile and fundamental in many Asian kitchens, where it added aroma and raised the dish with its deep essence and garlic. This homemade garlic oil is natural, without preservatives and versatile. Infusion garlic oil helps to raise simple recipes such as pasta, rice, noodles, soups or roasted vegetables.

Because I love this recipe – I love using equally garlic in my daily cuisine. So when I came across this recipe, I just thought of preparing my garlic oil. It is a wonderful culinary experience that offers an aromatic flavor and I had control of the ingredients. While those purchased in the shop are super expensive and contain added preservatives. The use of homemade garlic oil is an excellent way to raise daily meals such as pasta, rice, bread, roasted vegetables or even Maggi to the taste at a restaurant level.

Versatile: This recipe is so versatile and adaptable. You can try various kitchens as Asia to Italian using several oils for infusion such as sesame oil, olive oil. The base can be easily customized with herbs such as thyme, rosemary, oregano and pepper bows.

Ingredients

OIL : The oil is used for frying and also to instill. Then use any neutral oil such as Canola oil, vegetables or light olive oil to fry the garlic. For Asian -based infusion, some can also use sesame oil for frying.

GARLIC : Garlic is the heart of infusion, which provides the aroma and depth to the oil. Use fresh, still and good quality cloves of garlic.

Garlic Peeling: Peel the skin of the garlic. Wash and dry dry before using. Then cut them into small pieces.

Effort: Allow fried garlic and oil to come to room temperature before storing. Filter using a mesh sieve or a cheese cloth.

Fried garlic can be stored separately in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-4 weeks. While the infused oil should be kept in the refrigerator. It remains well for a maximum of one month. You can freeze the garlic oil in a tray for ice cubes. It is useful for single service purposes.

Service: Infusion garlic oil can be used to spread them on garlic bread, naan, pizza, roti. It can be served by mixing with hummus, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables or for any marinade. It can also be used to launch noodles, rice and pasta.

1. Can I use olive oil?

YES ! You can use olive oil. But be sure to use light or refined olive oil to prevent the garlic flavor overlooking.

2. Can I add herbs?

Absolutely. You can add herbs of your choice such as rosemary, thyme, parsley or red chilli pepper to create different infusions flavors.

3. What is the difference between confit garlic and garlic oil?

The confit garlic is mainly prepared by slowly cooking the entire cloves of garlic in oil with some added herbs. The confit garlic will be soft and buttery that is used in bread or mixed in salad. While garlic oil is prepared by frying the finely chopped garlic in oil. In the end, the oil is tense after frying. Infusion garlic oil is used in many condiments, rainy or kitchen.

4. Can I use dry garlic to prepare the oil?

For fresh, vibrant and pungent flavor use fresh garlic. Dry garlic can be used when you don’t have time to peel or access fresh ones. But it can produce different flavors and have less duration.

Variations

Chili oil: Try to instill oil with other spices such as red pepper, coriander or cumin. My favorite is the infused oil of chilli pepper. I used chilli oil to prepare fried rice of Singapore, gnocchi and noodles. It is our favorite family recipe.

Garlic herb oil: Add fresh thyme, rosemary, basil or oregano during infusion. It is generally used to produce pasta and bread.

Lemon garlic oil: Add a lemon zest or a lemon juice to the infused oil. It has such a fresh and citrus flavor. It is generally used for oven salmon or roasted vegetables.

Garlic mayonnaise: During the preparation of mayonnaise in a blender, use this infused garlic oil instead of normal oil to prepare your garlic mayonnaise at home.
