Additions and replacements of recipes
- While I highly recommend using dark chocolate chips, if you are not a dark chocolate fan, you can definitely exchange them. Semi-sweet chocolate chips would have a wonderful flavor in these oatmeal biscuits, as well as milk chocolate. You could also use white chocolate chips. Personally, I like a combination of ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips with ½ cup of dark chocolate chocolate.
- Add the chopped walnuts for a little crunch.
- Dry fruit such as raisins, cherries or blueberries would also provide an exceptional flavor and a nice rubbery consistency.
- Rolled oat is the best choice for cooking. The fast oats will become soft too quickly and you will end with a different plot.
