Using the spice hut for baking and delicious snacks

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 tablespoon ceremonial green matcha or matcha flavor of your choice
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup white or chocolate chips cchocolate chips
  • Beat the butter and egg in a bowl using an electric mixer.

Steps

  • Add the sugar to the eggs and mix well. Add the brown sugar and beat until smooth
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour and matcha green tea powder. Mix then add to the sugar mixture and mix.
  • Add the vanilla extract, salt and baking soda and mix until completely combined. Add the chocolate chips and mix until completely dispersed.
  • Pour onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the pan. Let cool, wait a couple of minutes and enjoy!
