Here are the steps to prepare the meat sauce:
Start by seasoning the ground chicken. In a bowl, add the ground chicken and then season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt and pepper. Mix with a fork. Set aside.
In a larger pan add the olive oil and then continue adding your mirepoix of onions, carrots and celery. Sauté until softened about 5 minutes. Add the garlic for the last minute. Add the seasoned ground chicken and use a potato masher to break up the meat and cook until no longer pink.
Add pasta sauce and chicken broth mix. Bring to a boil while you prepare everything else.
