Compound Butter: Recipes, Storage Tips, and More

This guide includes different ideas and suggestions to help you and keep composed butter. Learn the easiest way to improve your next barbecue!

Making compound butter is a fun barbecue / kitchen. A secret of the courtyard if you want. If you want to level your cooking game for barbecue in the courtyard, making a little compound butter will be your best friend. It is like the knife of the Swiss army of condiments and today we will do four different flavors, so let’s do it.

What is composed butter?

The compound butter is made by mixing the butter with a handful of ingredients together in a bowl. This glorious combination of flavors can improve almost every recipe with very little preparation time. If you are smoking, grilling or making a sweet side, there is a compound butter that you can put together quickly to bring your meal to the next level.

Classic steak rest butter

The classic steak at rest is my favorite thing to put on and under the steaks. To start, we need a shredd not salted butter stick. You want not salty in order to have control over the level of salt in the butter itself. Each different brand of butter has a different amount of salt, so if you have ever cooked biscuits with salty butter and you asked me why they ended up a little too salty, it could be the reason. With non -salty you can add the whole seasoning you want to taste.

Microplane in a couple of wedges of fresh garlic. I recommend using the garlic for microplane against pre-moalcaric. It gives you a flavor of fresh garlic and it is so thin that it melts into things together with the butter. I also add a little Worcestrshire sauce, a little fresh thyme (you can also use here, but I only think that the fresh thyme is better). Finally, we also have to seasoning. The salt and pepper work great, or you can use two teaspoons of hey grill hey beef.

The only thing that remains to do here is to crush the butter to make it mix and combined everything. Once this butter is made it is good to use it immediately. Keep it at room temperature if you intend to use it immediately. Later we will discuss a hack to store each of these butters composed in your refrigerator in order to always have them at hand and are ready to cut and use every time the need is presented.

Dried tomato and basil butter

Then we have the tomato dried in the sun and the basil butter. This is excellent for the filling inside the chicken or basement chest. You can also spread it on toasted bread and it is absolutely delicious.

Once again we will start with a non -salted butter stick. Then add a couple of tablespoons of dried tomatoes in the sun. If you do not like the consistency of dried tomatoes in the sun, you can cut them really well and essentially will be based with the other ingredients, still adding a delicious flavor. You could also do it in a food processor to really break them down. Then add a pair of grated garlic cloves. Every time you prepare the compound butter, I always like to use fresh herbs to add a little brightness, so we also add a little chopped basil. Finish it with the dressing with salt and pepper.

And so, you have a super simple compound butter that is full of flavor. This is really delicious in pasta, grilled chicken or anything else you would like to add a little Italian touch and flavor. Who says that the butter at rest is only for the steak?

Barbecue butter

The barbecue butter is incredible to put under chickens because it contains all the suspended seasoning, but it can also be used as a final butter for things such as shrimp and grit, a hamburger topping or even a delicious addition on seafood.

This is the simplest we will do. To start, surprise, it’s not salty butter. Since we go with a barbecue theme for this, we will start with a little hey grill hey sweet rubbing. So add a little of Hey Grill Hey Everything Salsa. For this recipe you can use your favorite sauce and sauce for barbecue, but these are my favorites and if you try, they could become yours too! In any case, it starts with about a spoonful of each.

I love using this butter composed as a sauce for things that can be difficult to season. For example, put it under the skin of the chicken before smoking it and then use it during cooking. This can be the simplest composed butter recipe covered today, but has a super high impact in terms of flavor. It is rich, salty and sweet.

Cowboy butter

The latter is a bonus. It is not necessarily a compound butter, but this seasoned butter is incredible to immerse things like grilled vegetables, crunchy sandwiches, steak, chicken and prawns.

Since this butter is actually served, the first step is to melt a stick of non -salted butter. So squeeze some fresh lemon juice. Make sure to catch and dispose of the seeds. Then add the grated garlic and your choice of spiced brown mustard. To add a little color and a little football, add the paprika and a little chilli flakes.

The best thing about cowboy butter is that it is a kind of choice of your addition of adventure to any meal. You can adjust the relationships and spices levels to adapt to your personal taste or what you are serving with. I like to add my chicken rubbing because it also has rosmarino, thyme, smoked paprika and cayenna pepper for a little more heat.
