- Meat: In this recipe, use lean ground beef (80/20) and drain off any fat once browned. Italian sausage or leftover taco meat are also great additions.
- Cheese: Cream cheese and velveeta combine to create the base of this sauce for the best texture and flavor. Velveeta can be substituted with an additional 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
- Taste: Ketchup, mustard and barbecue sauce add the classic “burger” flavor.
- Burger Toppings: Top the cheeseburger sauce with shredded cheddar cheese, fried onions and sesame seeds, then add your favorite burger toppings.
- Pickles, bacon bits, chopped yellow onions, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, jalapenos or green chilies also make great condiments.




How to make cheeseburger sauce
- Cook the ground beef in a large pan. Drain off the fat.
- Add tomatoes, cream cheese, melted cheese, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Combine the cheddar, fried onions and sesame seeds in a bowl and sprinkle over the sauce.
Serve immediately or keep warm in a slow cooker for guests to help themselves to.

This cheeseburger dip is easy to make and full of flavor.

- Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no pink remains, about 6 minutes. Drain off the fat.
- Add diced tomatoes, cream cheese, melted cheese, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat to medium and stir until melted and mixed together. Let sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a small bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, fried onions, and sesame seeds. Sprinkle the sauce. Garnish with additional burger seasonings to taste.
- Serve with tortilla chips or croutons.
French fried onions it can be lightly heated in a dry pan until toasted.
