Fortunately for us, Fethiye has some good Lokantas to choose from.

Places where you can go and fill yourself with any combination of comfortingly homemade Turkish dishes. And at prices that do not make you water when you ask for the account.

One of the places is the Seçkin restaurant, in front of Fethiye’s otogar.

Lokantas are the places where workers go to make a quick lunch. Where buyers stop for a break. Where travelers receive a good meal before taking the travel of Bus Intercity.

And, where drivers go to rest and refuel (in order to gourmet) before they continue on the road …

And, often, joy of joys, many of these places are 24 hours open. So you are guaranteed a good hot meal, any hour of the day.

On a main road in Fethiye, supporting the Sanayi and in the face of the otogar of the city is a row of institutions; 24 -hour Lokantas that have been there for as long as we can remember.

Over the years, we have wandered in all of them in the random hours of the day.

We stopped for lunch. We received meals for the pre-intercione bus trip.

And yes, we entered those clubs at 4 in the morning and at 5 to eat (or drink, as the Turks say) a bowl of traditional Turkish soup after an evening outside pop.

That’s what you do. And that’s also what others do. These Lokantas are rarely empty.

These 24 -hour large Lokantas that exist to serve the work audience of Türkiye have all types of food available and rarely a menu.

We come here if we go to the Erasta shopping center. Erasta has places to eat, of course, but Lokanta’s food is too beautiful to let go!

The bases of the Bain Marie are pilav (rice or a version of Bulgur Pilavı – or both), roasted vegetables to season – if you want – with natural yogurt, braised spinach, seasonal vegetables such as ocher in tomatoes and olive oil, olive oil dishes, oil and beans dishes such as Kuru Fasulye.

Many small Lokantas in Fethiye will have only some delicious choices. But Seçkin Lokantası, together with his neighbors, is enormous, with a bain marie to match.

Where to start?

Seçkin Lokantası’s waiter is alongside you, underlining every dish and describing what is in each.

Sometimes we recognize the dish. Others are a new territory.

We choose a main dish of main meat. And then we have to follow the Pilav route.

Oh and some spinach braised at the top of the yogurt. Oh and also roasted vegetables.

You can see from our photos of our last three visits: we are appreciated by Lokanta’s food. And we order too much.

All meals in Seçkin Lokantası are also served with bread, a lateral salad. And, often, a side plate of fresh or dry peppers and lemon wedges.

The chillies are never for the weak heart. But we cannot resist a couple.

And, if the choice of Bain Marie’s food is not for you, Seçkin Lokantası is more than a lokanta.

They also have a bread oven so that they can choose between a variety of pides.

Döner Kebabı and Iskender have, or you can also get grilled foods like şiş kebab. And of course, a choice of soups is also available.

Every time we go to Seçkin Lokantası in Fethiye, I tell myself that I will have soups and pides, soup and pides, soups, and pides.

And then we walk inside. And there is the Bain Marie.

Apart from the soup of the first hours after an evening outside, I was unable to avoid the display in the Bain Marie.

When you visit Fethiye, or anywhere else in Turkey, all those traditional turkish soups, stewed and vegetable dishes you see on the recipe websites, those are the dishes you will see in a lokanta and in Fethiye.

Seçkin Lokantası is certainly not lacking in choice for you to sample.

Lokanta is not there to have a sciccoso environment. It’s not there to make a nice presentation.

And, if you are something like us, once eaten there, you will want to return again and still to taste more offers.
