Tomato tips
While this tomato salad is a simple side, it is full of flavor. It is better with fresh tomatoes torn from lives during the summer months, but I can do it all year round.
- Cut large tomatoes or cimel tomatoes into wedges or small pieces.
- Cut the cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes in half so that the dressing can be absorbed.
- It is not necessary to drain the juices or remove the seeds.

Variations
- Herbs: Fresh oregano, dill, fresh or mint basil leaves.
- Cheese: Try tomato salad with feta cheese, burrata, or morsels (Fresh mozzarella).
- Other additions: Add a little chopped garlic, avocado, garden vegetables, chopped pepper or fresh courgettes.
Walking salad condiment
This salad focuses on tomatoes, so I kept the simple dressing with red wine vinegar, olive oil and salt and black pepper. You can use other varieties of vinegar, such as balsamic vinegar.

Serve suggestions
I prefer to serve this dish at room temperature.
Give it with grilled chicken breast, grilled pork ribs or grilled prawns!
If you are lucky enough to have leftovers, this salad remains well in the refrigerator, allowing the flavors to marinate. I love to eat it the next day for a healthy lunch.
