I love spring! I love flowers, the new growth and the abundance of fresh and sweet vegetables. This winter was particularly cold where I live. Ok, Florida is not like Buffalo New York, but it was cold for us! It snowed !!!
Now that spring has finally arrived, I’m embracing it. This salad is the last way to celebrate the season, exploding with delicate asparagus, peas, fresh mint and lettuce for children, all thrown into an irresistible seasoning with San-J Sweet Tamari Splash.
What do you need:
4 tablespoons San -j sweet tamari splash
4 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of seasoned rice vinegar *See note
1 teaspoon of pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger
½ teaspoon of toasted sesame oil
Kosher or fine salt and pepper, to taste
6 ounce of snow, cut and removed
24 Spears asparagus, the woody ends removed
2 cups of frozen peas
4 Once Full Lattuga leaves (sweet lettuces or buds for children)
1 cup of vaguely stacked mint leaves
4 Once of goat cheese
What is my secret ingredient in the salad dressing? San -j sweet tamari splash. This single ingredient brings layers of depth of umami, delicate sweetness and a thin tang that binds everything together. It is incredible how only a little can take a simple dish from gourmet. The balanced notes of sweet tamari, sesame and ginger oil in the dressing highlight the freshness of the vegetables without overwhelming them.
If an salad was ever incorporated days of sunshine and fresh beginnings, that’s all. The combination of whiten asparagus, tender peas and vibrant mint makes the flavor of every bite like the first hottest signs of time. Capra’s creamy cheese adds a succulent contrast, while the bright salty-sweet condiment combines everything in harmony.
