Hot dog fans have a feeling of taste for you! Rueben’s hot dogs have everything in progress! Imagine you bite a grilled hot dog wrapped in Pastrami and piled up with spicy Sauerkraut. Can you taste it? When you want an exaggerated hot dog, try it!

I have a confession to make: I am a purist hot dog. Give me a grilled Weenie, a simple roll, diced onions and perhaps a small ketchup (blasphemy, I know) and I’m in paradise.
For me, the simplest is the hot dog, the better. I have been to places where you can put your Frank with a variety of condiments and have served it on a overflowing sandwich where you have to cut it and eat it with a knife and a fork. Not my type of dog (except once. Because it was surprising). I like my naked.
But every now and then I try to think of you and meded on which type of summer recipes you could try.
And I think: “A hot dog wrapped in Pastrami?” Well, you have my attention. Do I have yours? Because this is not a traditional hot dog.
Sauerkraut? Yes, one might think you are not a fan. But I challenge you to accumulate it on your dog and don’t think about it too much; Its only purpose is only for these connections. Oh friend, the combination of flavor of this sandwich knockwurst is crazy well!
Didopilo challenges you to try it!
What is a Reuben hot dog?
Have you ever had a Sandwich Reuben? Do you know, a sandwich with a mile full of canned meat, sauerkraut and spicy seasoning? This easy recipe for hot dog is a riff on that classic sandwich, but I’m opting for the Pastrami that has more flavor.
What is the difference between Pastrami and canned meat? In my book, they are both delicious, but when it comes to these hot dogs and Pastrami against beef, Pastrami is the winner every time. Pastrami is in brine like canned meat, but then it is rubbed in incredible spices and smoked low and slow to bring out all the flavor.
That smoked flavor will make these hot dogs more epic dog you have ever had.
What do you need to prepare reuben hot dogs
- Knockwurst connections – See my notes below.
- Hot Dog rolls -This the best baked sandwiches you can find!
- Pastrami – Sliced, from the gastronomy of your supermarket.
- Sauerkraut – 1 jar or can. You can freeze the remaining Sauerkraut for your next Reuben dog.
- Swiss cheese – Scammed or cut, but shredded it melts more easily.
- Thousand Island dressing
What is Knockwurst?
Knockwurst is a special sausage that seems similar but has a much better flavor than a normal hot dog. You can find Knockwurst in the Delis or European markets.
Knockwurst are made with ground pork and sometimes beef. They are seasoned with garlic and elderly and then smoked. There is nothing better the flavor of these fantastic sausages when cooked.
There is no shame in the use of a hot dog purchased in good quality store if you can’t find Knockwurst. Use Hot Dog Kosher to create these Kosher Reuben Hot Dogs.

How to do Reuben’s hot dogs
Turn on the grid and when hot, grill the Hot Dog connections until they are heated and have beautiful signs of grill on them.
Preheat your grid.
Wrap each connection in Pastrami (add all the slices you want!), Then nest it in a sandwich. At the top of the sandwich with piles affected by sauerkraut (trust me!) And sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese.
Grow for 1 minute or only until the cheese melts.
Serve with a thousand Island dress at the top.
Suggestions for recipes
- Depending on how much the sauerkraut accumulates on hot dogs, it may not warm up under the grill. If you are using a lot of sauerkraut (no judgment), consider heating the sauerkraut before passing your hot dog.
- You can heat the sandwiches on the grill if you like them a little toasted.
- Give a little to a tight at Sauerkraut if it is really juicy. You don’t want to flood your hot dog.
- With the sauerkraut, cheese and seasoning, these are disordered hot dogs: pass the napkins!
- Save the remaining Sauerkrauts for these incredible whiskey marbles.
- If you can’t find Pastrami, use canned meat.
What to serve with Reuben’s hot dogs
These are simply the best hot dogs in the world and, if you agree, you may not even need contours because you are too busy filling your face with these fantastic hot dogs.
If, however, you are wondering what to serve with Reuben’s hot dogs, then these are my suggestions:
Storage instructions
Once assembled, the hot dogs should be eaten. They will not keep well once hot dogs, sauerkraut, cheese and sandwich have been added: the sandwiches will become soft. But you can keep the individual components of this dish in the fridge for 3-4 days and will be fine.
