Gluten-Free Maui: The Ultimate Guide to Eating and Shopping Gluten-Free on the Island

Visiting Maui and unsure where to eat or shop gluten-free? This comprehensive guide has you covered—from takeout spots to full-service restaurants and grocery stores across Lahaina, Kahului, and Kihei. After nearly two decades of regular trips to Maui, I’ve curated my go-to list for navigating the island without gluten, all without sacrificing flavor.

A Note on Dietary Choices

While I aim to eat mindfully, I don’t stay 100% Paleo while vacationing. That said, I always stick to gluten-free options due to dietary needs. Most of the restaurants featured here are not entirely gluten-free, but they do offer gluten-free menus or are accommodating when you request gluten-free options. If you have celiac disease, please be cautious and ask about potential cross-contamination.
