When I need a quick pick-me-up, this beet juice recipe is my go-to! The beets are rich in iron and if combined with fresh citrus fruits, vitamin C helps the body absorb all those nutrients.

In addition, with apples, carrots and ginger, this abc juice (apple, beetroot and carrot) is loaded with antioxidants, making it the perfect way to nourish and energize your body. I love it especially in the colder months in which I need a little more thrust.

As for the flavor, I absolutely love the sweet and earthy taste of beet juice, but I know it can be intense for some. That’s why the balance with crispy apples, bright citrus fruits and a touch of fresh spicy ginger for a refreshing and moisturizing drink. It is smooth, of course sweet and has the right amount of zing!

The best part? It only takes a few minutes to do, that you are using a juicer or a blender. I like to enjoy the first thing in the morning to start my day with an explosion of nutrients, but it is also an excellent afternoon update when I need a little more energy.

Ingredients for beet juice

This vibrant juice is made with fresh and nutritious ingredients that produce a naturally sweet, harsh and refreshing drink. Here is everything you need:

  • Red beets I am the star of the show in this graceful juice. The beets are naturally sweet and earthy, rich in iron, vitamins and antioxidants. For the juice, we advise you to look for firm and stainless beets, with or without their vegetables. You can cook the vegetables as you would do on the Swiss board. Try them in my recipe for green shakshuka or add them to this healthy cream spinach recipe!
  • Apple He adds sweetness and acidity to help congratulate beets’s earthy flavor. I prefer to use a gala or a Fuji apple for natural sweetness and a clear and refreshing taste.
  • Carrots They are full of beta-carotene and naturally soften the juice. If you can get carrots with vegetables, they will be sweeter! Use the vegetables to create a super top lot of carrots.
  • Citrus: The acidity of fresh lemon illuminates the juice. In addition, it makes it very refreshing while fresh oranges balance vegetables with their sweetness. Peel these fruits before mixing or squeezing or your juice will be bitter! Save the skins to prepare candied orange peels (or lemon).
  • Cucumber: Honey, moisturizing and cooling, the cucumber lightens the intensity of beet juice and balances sweetness. I love add cucumber to any juice I do, especially my green juice recipe.
  • Ginger: A small piece of fresh ginger adds the right amount of heat and spice to balance the sweetness of this beet juice recipe.
  • Sumac (optional) is my little one Mediterranean touch in this beet juice recipe. He adds a thin spicy and citrus note and I like it that it is the same color as the beets themselves!

Spotlight Ingredient

If you have never tried SumacThis spicy and citrus spice made with sumac-Berries and ground sumac-Berries is a turning point! It adds a bright and lemon flavor that improves everything, from salads to marinades, and is a natural solution in this beet juice recipe.

Beatural juice benefits

I love a good beet juice, not only for its refreshing taste but for its incredible health benefits! This Abc juice (apple, beetroot, carrot) is loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that help to support your body in so many ways.

  • Increases energy: The beets are rich in iron, which is essential for energy levels and citrus fruits in this juice help your body absorb that iron more effectively. In the days when I feel slow and I am attempted to have another cup of coffee, I try to reach this beet juice instead! Falsers are also rich in nitrates, which can improve heart health by lowering blood pressure and increasing blood flow, According to the American Heart Association.
  • Put the iron in: Vitamin C In citrus fruits helps you synthesize the iron from beets, which otherwise your body may have difficulty absorbing.
  • Supports heart health: Beets, carrots and apples contain nutrients for the heart, which help to promote healthy blood circulation and blood pressure levels.
  • Rich in antioxidants: Each ingredient in this juice – bieetti, apples, carrots, citrus fruits and even ginger – is full of powerful antioxidants that help fight inflammation and support immune health.
  • Naturally refreshing: With moisturizing ingredients such as cucumber and citrus fruits, this juice is the perfect pick-me-me-dut, especially in the coldest months in which I need some extra sun in a glass!

What to serve with beet juice

If I am having this beet juice for breakfast, I like to balance it with a little protein, both in the form of a slice of spinach omelette with egg muffins for the feta or pre-principal.

If I want something a little more substantial, I will add a little egg toast with vegetables or my favorite breakfast of sweet potatoes with a sunshine egg and a pungent feta.
