Hawaiian rolls are a great success with my family. There is only something in the slight sweetness of those perfectly soft sandwiches, you know?

We usually transform them into cursors, whether they are ham and cheese cursors, buffalo chicken cursors or breakfast cursors. But we also love having fun together with a bowl of chicken and wild rice soup or with cracker wire chicken.

But have you ever thought of transforming them into cinnamon rolls?

These Hawaian cinnamon rolls are my most recent obsession with the sweet roller. I think you will love it too.

What are the Hawaiian Roll cinnamon rolls?

If you have been close to her for a while, you know that we Love Sweet rolling recipes easy in these parts.

Cinnamon rollers for pastry, Panamon with heavy cream and easy monkeys bread are all big favorites for us. But these Hawaian cinnamon rolls could be the simplest recipe of the sweet roller ever.

A package of Hawaiian rolls is cut in half, scattered with a butcher’s butcher-zucchero and cinnamon mixture and cooked until golden brown. The whole thing is over with the glaze of spicy cheese cream for a perfect finish.

So everything you need to do is tear or cut the rolls and obtain all the flavor of the cinnamon rolls you love, but have done in less than 40 minutes.

When Stepie tested them, her husband – who don’t even like sweets much – could not stop eating them. This tells me a lot!

How to make these cinnamon rolls of the Hawaiian roll

Ready to see how fast and easy this recipe is?

Ingredients you need

For the same cinnamon rolls, you will need:

  • 1 (12 counting) Hawaiian Sweet Rolls package
  • 8 tablespoons of non -salted butter at room temperature
  • ½ cup of light sugar lightly packed or dark brown
  • 2 teaspoons of spoonful of ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon of sea salt

This recipe uses a pack of 12 of Hawaiian sweet sandwiches (the rolls for dinner, not the darkest sandwiches). But you can easily double to use a 24 package if you are feeding on a crowd!

Make sure the butter is softened at room temperature. If you forget to put it in advance, you can take a look at my post on how to soften the butter quickly.

Cane sugar is a must for the rich flavor of these sweet sandwiches! Find out how to prepare brown sugar if you are out and learn to soften the cane sugar if your hardened in the pantry.

I like to overcome these rolls with a spicy cheese cream glaze. For this, you will need to:

  • 2 ounce of softened cream
  • 1 tablespoons of unwanted unrelated butter
  • 1/2 cup of icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Don’t stress yourself if you are without icing sugar. Instead, you can make a simple substitute for icing sugar to use.

Make these sweet rolls

To start, take a large serrated knife and cut the sandwiches in half horizontally, as you would make a bagel.

In a bowl, mix the softened butter with brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Once it is well combined, spread about 3/4 of the mixture on the cut side of the lower half of the rolls.

Place the upper half of the rolls above the mixture of butter, then distribute the rest of the mixture of cinnamon butter above.

Make everything into a 9 × 13 -inch greased pan. Cook at 350 ° F for 20 minutes; The butter will be dissolved and the tops will be deeply golden.

Leave the rolls to cool for about 5 minutes as you make the icing.

Recipe variations

Just because these Hawaian cinnamon rolls are so easy does not mean that there are no ways in which you can change them.

If you are not great on the cheese cream glaze, try to overcome the icing sugar glaze from my cinnamon rolls overnight.

Just because they are cinnamon rolls does not mean that cinnamon is the only spice you can use in the mixture of butter. Try to exchange cinnamon with a pumpkin cake spice, a spice for apple pie or even the mix of spices chai.

Try adding some dice to the filling! The chopped walnuts or walnuts sprayed on the mixture of butter in the middle of the sandwiches would be totally delicious.

Obviously one of the fantastic things of this recipe is that you can use the Hawaian sandwiches purchased in the shop, making it a super simple and quick breakfast. But you can always go fantasy and use Homemade Hawaiian rolls Instead!

Make-ahead, storage and heating

If you want to simplify the preparation of the breakfast again, prepare the sandwiches the night before. Once assembled, cover the pan with a sheet and cool over the night.

The next morning, cook as indicated.

Keep the remaining rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a maximum of 2 days. You can also wrap single rolls in a plastic casing and keep them in a freezer bag with zip in the freezer for a maximum of one month.

I like to heat the remaining rolls in the microwave for 30 seconds or defrost the frozen rolls for 30-60 seconds before having fun.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 ° F. Lightly grease a 9 × 13 -inch pan. Cut the rolls carefully halfway through horizontally, keeping the tops and connected funds.

  • This recipe can be easily doubled to use a 24 Hawaian rolls package.
  • If you prefer a icing sugar glaze instead of the cheese cream glaze, use the glaze of my recipe for the cinnamon night.
