7. two – Wild Betl Leaf wraps Miang Kham


Fog They are the Thai dish from the most unique tasting that I can think. There is nothing, even in Thai cuisine, which has a flavor devotedAnd it is an explosion of flavors in every sense of the word. They are small compresses of bite size, wrapped with bel wild leaf and the interior is full of toasted coconut, peanuts, rags, ginger, shallot, dry prawns and chillies. And before eating the splash with a sweet but savory sauce.
This is a must simply as it is unique, and it is crazyly delicious. Everything is happening in one bite: sweet, harsh, salty, spicy, crunchy, rubbery, hazel, toasted, earthy … simply fantastic.
I have a Recipe for Miang Kham, But it is not a simple and fast recipe, and for most people the ingredients are not easy to find, which is one of the reasons why I filmed that video in Thailand.


Where to find Miang Kham
You can search for Miang Kham when you go to a generalist Thai restaurant, even if it is not super common, so don’t miss it if you see it! You can find some generalist Thai restaurants recommended on my post to eat in Bangkok.
However, You may have more luck to look for a “Miang Kham Kits”, That arrive in a box or bag with all the ingredients prepared and ready to wrap (sometimes the lime are intact so that people can cut them fresh, so you will need a knife.) You can search for these kits in supermarkets or in internal and external food markets.
