A sweet and simple path of Valentine’s Day
When you think of the gelatin, you probably imagine those classic and shaking desserts from childhood. But did you know that traditional gelatin is made with collagen of animal origin? This means that it is not vegan! Fortunately, there is an easy way to create a plant -based version using the agar: a natural thickener derived from algae.
This rough vegan cherry jelly is not only completely vegetable but also gluten -free, refined to sugar and full of flavor of Eden Foods cherry juice.. It is a fun and nourishing surprise that is beautifully found without the need for animal base ingredients.
Why Agar Agar instead of gelatin?
Normal gelatin is made of bones of hot animals, skin and connective fabrics, which is why it is not suitable for a vegan diet. Agar Agar, on the other hand, is an alternament based on algae that works just as well (if not better!) In the creation of deserts stopped and straight. In addition, Agar Agar is loaded with fiber and does not contain animal by -products, making it a perfect substitute.
Do it in any form you like!
While we used heart -shaped silicone molds to celebrate Valentine’s Day, you can use any mold or even pour the mixture into a plate and cut it into squares. This recipe is as versatile as delicious!
