My love for tea started home in Port, where we would have fun hot with some sprigs of fresh mint. In these days, especially when the summer rolls around, I am looking for something on the ice. After living in the south American, I grew up to worship sweet tea, but mine is much less sweet than what is usually served here, and I made it my infuse with some of my favorite Mediterranean flavors, but obviously I had to use the peaches of Georgia!

My fishing recipe combines juicy ripe fruit, delicate honey and cooling mint, all balanced with the brightness of the lemon. The secret to instilling tea with a fresh flavor of fishing is suburbing the peaches with honey and water to create a wonderful syrup that adds that unmistakable summer flavor.

This recipe is perfect for summer entertainment, whether you are using grilled chicken kebab, fresh salads or simply enjoying a slow afternoon in the shade.

What’s in fishing tea?

Only a handful of ingredients come together to prepare this cold tea for refreshing fishing. If you have some beautiful mature peaches at hand, you are almost there! Here is everything you need.

  • Peaches: The fresh and juicy peaches add natural sweetness and a floral aroma. Make the syrup with the more mature ones: this is a great way to use bruised fruit! And then cut a mature fishing but stopped for the outline because it will resist better. Can’t get fresh peaches? Even the frozen ones work well for this recipe.
  • Honey It adds sweetness enough to balance the tannins in tea and match magnificently with peaches. For this recipe, I prefer floral varieties such as orange flowers or wild flowers or a neutral honey like acacia. I make the syrup with 1/2 cup of honey, but if you prefer your tea even sweeter, you can add another quarter cup.
  • Waterfall: Starting from clean and filtered water it is the most beautiful taste tea.
  • Black tea bags: Choose a strong black tea, bold and not flavored as an English breakfast or Ceylon for a full -bodied base.
  • Lemon It adds brightness and a little tang to balance sweetness. I like to instill tea with most of a lemon cut into wheels (reserving the rest on outline). But I recommend discarding the lemon after a couple of days or can leave the bitterness.
  • Mint: A handful of fresh mint leaves brings a cooling and refreshing note. Attack an entire sprig in each glass, so when you drink a sip you can breathe in the wonderful aroma.

How to prepare fishing tea

This recipe for frozen frozen tea is like beer, mixing, cold and service! I like to prepare tea and prepare the fishing syrup in the evening before serving it. It only takes a few minutes of practical time and then, once they cooled, combine them and cools them during the night. All that remains to be done is to fill up high glasses with ice and pour it over. Here’s how to do it:

Make it your

Initially I found this recipe based on one for honey, mint and cold orange tea in my second cooking book, Simply dinnerThat is to say that this recipe is flexible! Here are some ideas!

  • Use a different tea: For lighter cold tea, exchange black tea for green tea sachets. Just make sure to reduce the time of intact about 3 minutes so that it does not become bitter. Avoid caffeine? You can also use a whisk instead. I think of this Tea with the orange fragrant chamomile It would be adorable with fishing, even if you may want to reduce the amount of honey in fishing syrup up to 1/4 cup because it will have a sweeter flavor without the tannins of black tea to balance it!
  • Make it sparkling: Jump by adding the last 3 cups of water to the jug and uses the mixture of tea as a concentrate and top each glass with a splash of sparkling water or club soda for a sparkling twist that is refreshing extra.
  • Add a floral note: Mix a few drops of Rose water OR orange Flower waterfall to the fishing syrup for a fragrant floral dimension.
  • Make it a cocktail: Add a stroke of Bourbon or Vodka to each glass for an adult version of this classic summer.
  • Try it with other fruits: Replace the peaches with nectarines, apricots or even berries for a different seasonal socket.
  • Infuse with herbs: Exchange or complete the mint with a different fresh grass. Fresh basil, verbena with lemon or even a sprig of rosemary would all be delicious.

What to serve with cold tea fishing

This refreshing recipe for fishing tea is the right thing to refresh yourself with a sunny picnic or cooking in the courtyard! It is beautifully combined with a wide range of Mediterranean dishes, in particular those who love a little character from the grid.

Try to combine it with these juicy and smoky grilled chicken kabobs seasoned with warm Mediterranean spices. On the side, a cold Mediterranean barley salad offers a colorful mix of vegetables and fresh herbs and holds well at a cooler table or on a buffet table.

Some of my other favorites in summer include watermelon salad and my healthy interpretation of a classic broccoli salad made with dates and almonds. Do you want to go to full south? Pour a glass of fish tea with my opinion on the classic tomato sandwich.
