Reindeer Chow Chex Mix
Everyone has their favorite Chex Mix recipe. I have a savory version that I love to eat all year round. Whether you call this sweet version Christmas Crack, Reindeer Chow, or just Christmas Chex Mix, it’s sure to become a new favorite! I love the crunch of cereal combined with sweet white chocolate, and Cadbury Mini Snowballs are one of my favorite candies! Pretzels add the perfect savory complement to all the sugar.

Ingredients for the Christmas snack mix
Gather these simple ingredients to make this simple recipe:
- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 2 cups pretzels (you can also use pretzel sticks)
- 1 cup Cadbury Mini Snowballs
- 1 cup plain Christmas M&Ms
- 12 ounces white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup crushed candy canes (divided)
- 1 tablespoon Peerless Christmas Colors (divided)

How to prepare a simple mix for Christmas snacks
I love good no-cook recipes! This snack mix is easy to prepare in about five minutes, although it takes a little longer to prepare before you can serve it.
- First, line a large, rimmed baking sheet with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cereal, pretzels, mini snowballs, and M&Ms.
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips for 1 minute. Stir and melt again in 10 second intervals, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Then mix in half of the crushed candy canes.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture and sprinkle half of the nonpareils over the bowl. Toss gently to coat.
- Spread the cereal mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, then sprinkle the remaining crushed candy canes all over the baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 minutes (or let it sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes) to let it set.
Your Christmas snack mix is ready to be served and enjoyed! Break it up and place it in a large bowl or serving dish for guests, or store it in a bag for easy storage.
Plus, make it your own by adding your favorite candies and use your favorite Chex cereal. I think this would be delicious with Chocolate Chex!

Storing your Christmas snack mix
You can store this sweet Chex mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. I think it tastes better within 2-4 days.
Can you freeze peppermint snack mix?
You can freeze leftover snack mix in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 3 months. Thaw it at room temperature for a few hours before serving.

Christmas Snack Mix Recipes for Gifts
This delicious treat makes a perfect holiday gift. Here are some ways to dress it up:
